This wasn't new knowledge but it still upset me and learning Alec did more than just relocate me in my oblivious state made me feel deeply uncomfortable. If I was still capable of blushing I would have done it then out of embarrassment and anger. My voice came out shriller than I intended. "What else did you do when you were using your roofi powers?"
Alec's eyes popped wide as he drew a sharp breath over my words. The satisfaction of Alec's shock was short-lived, though, as his expression clouded over like a fast-brewing storm.
"Roofie powers?" Alec spat back as his tightly knit self-control began to unravel. "Exactly what are you implying? Do you think I molested you?"

Reasons for Recommendation:

The rare instance of truely orrigional work that dosen't step on anyone's toes, metephoricaly speaking, yet provides all the angst and romance that Twilighters look for.  Also, humor.
For those of us who are tired of the shipping wars.

Story:  The Holy Dark by 'KayRayLovesLove'

Summary: Edward's in the atmosphere, Protecting the other half of his elysian Soul from the danger her divinity is a magnet for. She is beautiful. He can't help himself: it was preconceived. "Follow the sun, and find home." The ultimate forbidden love. Dark Themes

My Favorite Paragraph:  Our love would be a desolate wasteland, lonely and foreboding, an island all its own. No one would be able to hold a candle to it, in both the literal and metaphorical sense of the term. No love would be as strong, but all the light in the world would eventually be extinguished.

Reasons for Recommendation:
It's kind of a new twist on the whole guardian-angel concept.  Bella's on Earth; she's beautiful and good.  Edward's up in the air somewhere, desperately in love with her, but he knows what will happen if he goes to her. Their Soul is a danger magnet - to keep the world from falling apart, they were split in two by God.  One walks the Earth at a time; the other half eliminates the leftover danger, keeping the first half safe.  If Edward was to come to Earth to be with Bella, not only would Bella's life be destroyed, but also the lives of innocent people.  Damn the consequences, he goes to her anyway.  The story is told from both Edward's and Bella's POV.

I rarely ever come across this kind of creativity.  Her ideas are bold and truly her own.  Her characterizations are phenomenal, and her choice of vocabulary is stunning.  When I made a visit to her profile, my admiration for her was sealed... her personality is so far off from her style of writing, it's crazy.  She's so energetic, and just a little bit crude... but while her debut fic is daring just like her, it is also reserved, revealing just the write amount and keeping us on edge, right where we need to be.  Show her some love; it's well-written and hasn't gotten the attention it deserves.  She's just in the beginning stages, but hey, not every great story has a kajillion reviews.

Story: Don't give up hope by XJasperSaysRelaxX  [K+]

Summary: Bella has only ever wanted a child with Edward, but so far, it seems impossible. Rosalie finds out shes pregnant but things start to go wrong from day one. Edward proposes to Bella, and at their wedding, there's one present Edward will never forget... AH

Characters/Pairings: Bella/Edward, Rosalise/Emmett, Jasper/Alice, Esme/Carlisle. Charlie, Jake, Paul, Jessica, Mike, Victoria, Renee, Phil. AH. Slightly OOC at points.

Reason for recommendation:  I usually read M rated stories becuase I love reading stories that have lemons in and that arent 'all happy' becuase of the young rating. But when a friend told me about this story, i had to go see what the fuss was all about. I read the summary and thought to myself 'Good summary, lets see if the story is just as good' Over my years of reading FanFics, i've tried reading stories other than M rated ones, and havent got any further than the first chapter. But when i started to read this story, the only reason i wanted to leave chapter 1, was because i couldnt wait to read chapter 2!
Even though the writer has only writen a short 1st chapter, she makes up for it throughout the story. The writer was still in the prime of her writing at the start, so i fully understand her position, after all we all start somewhere. Moving on. So, even though the chapter is short, the more you read into the story, the more you see her skills develop. By about the 4th chapter, i was hooked and couldnt do anything but read on.
She adds humour from all charecters throughout the story, and adds all the requried emotions and actions that we'd use in the same situations. Even though Bella seems rather OTT and OOC at times, its totaly worth it in the end. Because who doesnt love a bit of bitchyness? (You'll understand when you read the story)
The writer shows Bella's struggle to get pregnant amazingly. Even though she's only young, she knows quite a lot for her age. The way the other charecters are shown is incredible, how realistic they are towards Bella throughout the story.
In the story, the writer shows the reader that not everything is a fairy tale. After Rose's misscarriage, the truth of realism shows more than ever. Yet there's no lemons in the story, the drama makes up for it. Plus, the writer is thinking of starting a seperate story which include the 'missing' lemons from the story.
It's deffinitley worth the read and i suggest that you go read it ASAP!
And review because the story hasnt been given the attention it deserves.
Plus, the sequel is up for the story and i must say, its amazing!

Story: Awake in the Infinite Cold  by Quothme [M]
Summary: Sometimes we forget that the fruit is forbidden for a reason. A mysterious Good Samaritan saves Bella from a bus before bolting like his hair is on fire. A mélange of Twilight, the movie How to Be, and a short story that for now shall remain nameless (so as not to give too much of the plot away for these first couple of chapters).

Reason for recommendation:  This comes from one of my most favorite fanfiction writers who I consider to be incredibly versatile and talented. Her writing is poignant, emotive, and she doesn't waste words on declarations and endless irrelevant descriptions, but paints with words effortlessly and purposefully. The story itself is absolutely character driven, and will not be a quick romance fix by any means. Also, while Edward and Bella is the main focus, always, every other character that appears is there for a reason, reveals more of the story's universe, and is brought to life with such clarity and intensity, you won't be left indifferent. There are countless forms of loneliness here, no easy solutions, and various things of the world and its people that  might make some want to turn their heads, but there is also so much tentative (and often heartbreaking) beauty, warmth, humaneness, and even a kind of magical realism. Mainly, it's a story about choice, consequences, the intricacy of a human mind, its conflicting desires and the multifaceted ways of survival.  I know how I sound, but actually .. AitIC is all that; a subtle and beautiful work of art.

Summary: New Moon AU. Edward did more than just leave Bella in the woods five years ago. Time goes on as Bella struggles to make a new life without him. What happens when they are accidentally reunited? What was the real lie that Edward told? What will Bella do?

Reason for recommendation: There are not enough words to explain how much I love this story, cause I really do.  Caligula42 takes the often used idea of Edward leaving during New Moon and never coming back and turns it into something wonderful.  Bella's grown up into an ass kicking woman who brews her own beer, fixes cars, and studies wolf behavior.  The Bella in this story isn't OOC, it's the Bella we know, just tougher.
